Professional Background in Security Leadership

James currently serves as the Security Director for Washington Square, a prestigious Lerner Corporation property located in Washington, DC. Since joining the company in November 2022, he has provided strategic oversight for Washington Square and other high-profile properties in the area.

He also serves on the board at Legacy Ventures USA. A nonprofit organization committed to building a stronger, more united future for communities in need.

Previously, James was the Director of Safety & Security at the Adventist World Headquarters in Silver Spring, Maryland, where he served from 2008 to 2018. He led a staff of 34 Special Police and Security Officers, overseeing daily operations and long-term safety protocols.

His security leadership extended globally—James coordinated logistics and managed security for international conventions, including:

Before entering the safety and emergency services sector, he spent 12 years in the banking industry, serving in various roles at major financial institutions throughout the Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) region.
